Starting..

Yes I thought of this initiative several times in my life and now I am stepping ahead in this direction, needs all the support.

Objective of this initiative is to make a self sustainable system which can concentrate continuously on growing trees, in all possible locations & ways.

In my view limiting carbon emission using "carbon trading" rules doesn't solve the problem, yes it surely limits, but we need to work towards solving the problem, need to increase the oxygen level and need to reduce the temperature, this move of "Lets Grow Trees" is aiming those.

I am optimistic on this and chocking out a plan to build this system, please share your ideas and help in this regard, thanks in advance :) "Lets Grow Trees".

This initiative shall start from rural areas, in view that it will give employment to at least one person and we will have enough roadside area to grow the trees.
This employee will be responsible to plant and maintain the trees. Failure rates target set to less than 5%.

Each village will have
1> One employee to plant and manage the trees.
2> Monitoring and guiding committee:
a> One degree holder with computer knowledge employed elsewhere volunteer who have the zeal to work in this NGO (an IT employee also).
b> 2 Panchayat members and 2 available officials in that village

Also about earning aspect apart from raising the funds, we shall get the rights on the oxygen emission and could sell it to the companies (more work required in this area OR it could be foolish wish?).

Initial plan is to set up the NGO first with all legal formalities.
Raise and invest small amount of funds to manage at least 3 villages as per our plan, it requires around 1 lakh rupees for each village per year.

Year 1 target: 3 villages 1000 trees
Year 2 target: 10 villages 5000 trees
Year 3 target: 30 villages 20000 trees

The above projected tree numbers are small, as we grow we should revise them.
Spreading into multiple villages is tougher part, thats why we should start in different states and the competition among them should make the growth.

Initial plan is to set up/ register NGO in Bangalore and I am looking for volunteers in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Fund raising would be our next activity after forming the team.
